Two 21-year-olds have been jailed for a total of 11 years after they dealt class A drugs in Ipswich as part of a county lines operation.

Ronaldo Rose, of Woodford Avenue, Ilford, was jailed for seven years at Ipswich Crown Court on Thursday.

Melike McAdam, of Cormorant Road in the London borough of Newham, was sentenced to four years on the same day.

Rose and McAdam were working together as part of the county line drugs operation coined ‘Pricey’, which saw drugs being transported from London to Suffolk.

After a raid in London where Rose was found hiding five wraps of crack cocaine, officers from Suffolk police and the Metropolitan Police were able to link known 'Pricey' line numbers with Rose and McAdam’s personal phones.

Rose was found guilty of being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine, being concerned in the supply of heroin and possession of crack cocaine with intent to supply.

McAdam previously pleaded guilty to the charges of being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and being concerned in the supply of heroin.

Rose was also in breach of a suspended sentence order from December 2022 of offering to supply heroin, offering to supply cocaine and possession of a knife in a public place.

His recent offences meant 16 months of his suspended sentence was also activated.

Detective Inspector James Cassedy, of the Serious Crime Disruption Team at Suffolk police, said: "This court result is reflective of the seriousness of the offending of Ronaldo Rose and Melike McAdam, who worked together to supply crack cocaine and heroin to class A drug users in Ipswich from their metropolitan base in London.

"County lines drug dealers are a scourge on society and prey on the most vulnerable members of our communities.

"We will continue to tackle this problem and seek to bring to justice those that perpetuate this type of criminality.”
