This new café has opened up inside a former stable block in an Ipswich park.

Husband-and-wife duo Jon Shapcott and Sarah Quinton are behind the Bishops Café and Tearoom which has welcomed its first customers in Holywells Park.

Alongside the café, Bishops Parlour has opened at the kiosk near to the park's play area and will serve hot and cold snacks, drinks, plus a selection of ice creams and slushies.

The café is open daily from 8.30am.

Speaking previously, Mrs Quinton said: "We lived near to Holywells Park for many years so know the area well and are over the moon to be fulfilling our dreams of running our businesses here.

"We have young children and a dog, so we understand what families visiting the park will need.

"It’s so exciting to bring the stables back to life as a community area, working with Ipswich Borough Council, Suffolk Wildlife Trust and the Friends of Holywells Park. Working together we can make the most of what this beautiful award-winning park offers."
