Ipswich Town stars Cole Skuse, Adam Webster, Bersant Celina, and Andre Dozzell turned up to spread some festive cheer at the Bergholt ward, and they didn’t come empty handed – they donated Christmas presents they had bought themselves, ranging from televisions and DVD players for the play room to a food hamper for the hard-working nurses.

Cole Skuse said: “These visits have become a tradition within football and it’s something we all look forward to, putting smiles on the faces of these children is very humbling.

Other players have visited St Elizabeth Hospice in Ipswich recently, as well as West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds and Colchester General Hospital.
