Ipswich Town secured promotion to the Premier League with a 2-0 win against Huddersfield Town at Portman Road. Alex Jones provides his player ratings.

Vaclav Hladky

Had one save to make - Huddersfield didn't test him at all. Perhaps that gives him a deserved rest after making countless crucial stops all season. He's been an absolute wall. 10

Axel Tuanzebe

One of his best performances in a Town shirt. Played with so much confidence and looked like he enjoyed every second. 10

Luke Woolfenden

Defended well, slick on the ball. Frighteningly consistent and a crucial part of this team. 10

Cameron Burgess

Pretty incredible to see how far he's come in such a short space of time. A gladiator at the back for Town - the physical presence they need. 10

Leif Davis

No assist for him today, so his total remains a mere 18 - three more than anyone else in the division. Astonishing. 10

Sam Morsy

Provided the assist for Ipswich's second goal. That's three goals, six assist and many, many bookings this season. Has hardly put a foot wrong all campaign, and seeing him lift the trophy at the end was an amazing moment. 10

Massimo Luongo

Orchestrates everything in midfield so, so well. Scored three goals this season and they've all been absolutely crucial. Ipswich wouldn't be where they are without him. 10

Wes Burns

Got the Portman Road party started in style with a slick low finish. You can forget how important he is when he's out injured - this last week has shown how vital he is. 10

Ipswich Star: Conor Chaplin finished the season as Town's tied-top scorerConor Chaplin finished the season as Town's tied-top scorer (Image: Stephen Waller)

Conor Chaplin

Looked much better after having a midweek rest, setting up the opener with a really clever pass. Don't let his recent dip in goals and assists fool you about how good he is. 10

Omari Hutchinson

The star of Ipswich's run-in. 10 goals and five assists from 20 starts is some going. Now let's see if he fancies taking on the Premier League with Town! 10

George Hirst

A lovely comeback story, capped off with a strong showing against Huddersfield. He fits this team like a glove. 10

Sub: Kayden Jackson (74’)

Relegated from the Championship with Ipswich in 2019, promoted from the Championship with Ipswich in 2024. 10

Sub: Jeremy Sarmiento (74’)

Gone from someone who fans didn't think could be a starter to a really dependable player. Some of his goals will never be forgotten, not least his last-gasp strike against Southampton. 10

Sub: Kieffer Moore (74’)

Came in and did exactly what he needed to do, and he'll go down as one of the most reliable strikers in the history of the Championship as a result. 10

Sub: Jack Taylor (84’)

Relegated in his last season in the Championship, but returned with Ipswich like his time at Peterborough United never happened. 10

Sub: Christian Walton (90’)

Nobody expected him to finish the campaign with just one cameo appearance, but it was some moment to see him get it. 10
