Plans for four new homes on empty land in Ipswich's London Road have been approved by the council.

Permission was granted by Ipswich Borough Council on Friday for two semi-detached homes on land that was formerly the site of 104 London Road.

According to the plans, the two semi-detached buildings would be built and split into four homes of one, two or three bedrooms.

One of the buildings would be spread over two floors, with entrance hall, storage, and shower room on ground floor, and living room/kitchen and one bedroom upstairs.

The other will be one two-bedroom and one three-bedroom spread over three storeys.

There are also plans for an area outside providing seven car parking spaces and eight cycle spaces.

There will also be outdoor amenity space that includes a garden and balcony behind the three-storey homes.

The houses would be built in a traditional style to match the surrounding area, according to application documents, and windows to the building in sliding sash style to be in keeping with the buildings of this style.
